This represents a fast turn as Triton's managing director Brad Boyle only acquired the projects six months ago.
Exploration at Balama North prospect will build on the initial mapping, soil sampling and trenching program that was completed early in the year.
The first target for drilling is an area where the graphitic mineralisation outcropping, with a strike length of 3.75 kilometres, was located.
These high priority zones and drilling results should enable a better understanding of the location, width, depth and direction of the identified graphitic zone.
Official environmental approval was received from the local government in the Cabo Delgado Province for the drill program.
Australia's Mitchell Group will provide Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling rigs and support services through their Mozambique branch based in Tete.
Triton managing director Brad Boyle said, "This is exciting time as we prepare to commence the drilling campaign.
"Triton has been very fortunate to have been able to progress the Balama project to this stage in just over six months since acquiring the project.
"This drilling and exploration stage is again an essential step towards helping the Company to understand...the mineraliation zones previously identified in April 2013.
"We look forward to providing further updates to the market as the drilling and exploration programs progress."
The drilling will also assist Triton to better understand the underlying geological structures and potential prospectively of the project around the identified mineralization zone.
It will subsequently help in the planning and execution of the next drilling and exploration programs.
Geochemical and Petrographic results for the samples obtained during the initial exploration program are due to be completed later this month at SGS laboratories in South Africa
The initital sample results will provide a better understanding and provide an inidication of the possible total graphitic content, the flake size and type in the mineralization zones.
The multi-element testing will assist in determining if there is any other potentially-economic mineralization types associated with graphite, that may be of interest.
Triton been informed the remaining exploration licenses, are almost complete and just waiting on final endorsement from the Mozambique Mining Minister.
