Empire Oil And Gas Secures Extension To Alcoa Gas Supply Contract

Empire Oil and Gas (ASX: EGO) has been granted an extension to 9 September 2013 by Alcoa of Australia while further commissioning and installations are carried out at the Red Gully Gas and Condensate Processing Facility.

The commissioning of the Flash Gas Compressor and the Gas Engine Alternator in addition to other minor installations will be carried out to improve operational efficiency.

Additional equipment is also being commissioned to enable the Facility to run uninterrupted at 80% of capacity to meet the Alcoa contract with condensate at a consequently higher rate.

The Red Gully-1 well is currently producing gas into the Facility at 65-70% of capacity with condensate at an average of 450 barrels a day.

The condensate is being trucked to the BP Kwinana Refinery by pocket road train, providing a source of revenue for the company.
