Horseshoe Metals Increases Footprint In Peak Hill Mineral Field

Horseshoe Metals (ASX: HOR) has doubled its ground holding at the Kumarina Copper Project in the Peak Hill Mineral Field, in Western Australia.

The new license expands the Kumarina project area to 432 square kilometres.

Kumarina already hosts a total Measured, Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource of 835,000 tonnes at 1.3% copper for 10,600 tonnes copper (using a cut-off grade of 0.5% copper) at its Rinaldi Prospect.

Copper deposits at the Kumarina Project were first discovered over 100 years ago, and were worked intermittently until 1973.

Recorded production to the late 1960's is 481 tonnes of copper ore at a high-grade of 37.0% copper and 2340 tonnes at 17.51% copper.

Horseshoe will use modern techniques to explore for high grade copper deposits, and build on the potential from previous decades.
