ITUS (OTCQB:ITUS) has filed patent infringement lawsuits against AT&T (NYSE:T) and Dimension Data in connection with its subsidiary's patented VPN MultiCast Communications technology, the company said.

"These lawsuits mark the 8th patented technology for which we have initiated lawsuits, as we continue to implement our strategy of diversification across a broad range of technologies," said president and chief executive officer, Robert Berman.

Since January of 2012, the company, which generates revenue off its patent via lawsuits or licensing agreements, has initiated a total of 47 lawsuits across eight patented technologies. It has generated revenue from 31 licenses and/or settlement agreements.

Just yesterday, ITUS announced that its subsidiary J-Channel Industries resolved a total of 15 patent disputes with regards to its window frame construction technology, bringing it to a total of 29 settlement and/or license agreements for that patent.

The lawsuits announced today, under ITUS's VPN Multicast Technologies subsidiary, were filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
