Klondex Mines' (TSE:KDX) cost per ounce of gold produced dipped below the US$600 mark in the second quarter to the end of June 2015.
The company produced just under 26,700 ounces of gold from its Fire Creek and Midas mines in Nevada, as well as just under 472,500 ounces of silver.
Allowing for slight adjustments in stock and scheduling that added up to a record total of 34,189 gold equivalent ounces sold during the period, generating record revenues of C$51 mln.
With all-in sustaining costs down at US$595 per gold ounce during the period, that allowed for significant margin on the averaged realised gold price of US$1,201 per ounce.
All told, the mines generated C$23 mln in operating cash flow, boosting the company's cash pile by C$13 mln to C$68 mln.
That positions Klondex very strongly in a market which has been tough to navigate for other juniors with slightly less robust operations.
Indeed, unlike many gold juniors, the company is actually increasing its spending on exploration and development.
The plan is to spend an extra US$10 mln, spread across both sites, to take the total spend on the ground up to US$43 mln this year.
For the full year Klondex expects to produce between 125,000 and 130,000 gold equivalent ounces.
