Sure I invest, help family make financial decisions, and make a ton of mistakes along the way. But my time... More

    Amazon has been in trouble for years, but people kept finding "Bigger Fools". Back when they were actually making money, their PE was like 3000. Now all that is coming back to reality. For some reason people were seeing the huge cash flow, and not looking at what was happening to all that money. It was like "We lose 3% on every sale; but we make it up on volume".
    They will be a short candidate for a long time now, and were once they broke $400 way back when...

    All the presidents escape D.C. in the summer. G.W.Bush spent his summers cutting brush on his ranch in Crawford, Texas. Pres. Clinton went to Jackson Hole and Martha's Vineyard. Pres. G.H.W. Bush spent them at his vacation home on Walker Point in Kennebunkport, ME. Pres. Reagan spent his summers at his Santa Barbara ranch.

    I have been saying that for a while. It seems that our POTUS really gets his marching orders from a few very wealthy families from what I have read. The Morgan's, Rothchild's and a few more.

    Apparently they know most of Americans don't look up to him for leadership so I think they are just passing time right now until 2016..

    We will look back in History at his 8 years and ask what did he really do ? It will be the FED that will stick out and one must do their homework to see how that operation really is run.

    Who are the members, how they are shareholders, and how they get 6% return guaranteed to start with. Using the word Federal has many think that it is part of our government. It is not!

    Confused ? Read this !!

    Read this in an article today on Western Journalism:

    Treason 18 USC § 2381 – Treason
    Obama has committed a long list of treasons to the Constitution for the United States of America. an the people under articles of treason 18 USC § 2381 – Treason

    US Code
    Current through Pub. L. 113-36. (See Public Laws for the current Congress.)
    Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
    Obama’s Acts of Treason:

    1. Perpetrating acts of fraud, perjury and conspiracy in his refusal to confirm his lawful eligibility to serve as president under the U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 1, constituting impeachable offenses of high crimes and misdemeanors adumbrated in U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 4;

    2. Surrendering sovereign U.S. war-making to foreign powers and international authorities by attacking Libya without consulting Congress, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article 1, Section 8 and U.S. Code Title 50, Chapter 33:1541-1548;

    3. Accepting foreign title and office while acting as U.S. President and without consulting Congress when in 2009, Obama assumed the Chairmanship of the UN Security Council, the international body responsible for declaring war on behalf of the UN, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article I, Section 9;

    4. Making bribery attempts in word and in deed, as Obama administration offered bribes to at least three Federal candidates for office: Joe Sestak, Andrew Romanoff and Jim Matheson, in violation of U.S. Code Title 18, Section 201;

    5. Defying a Federal Court Order by refusing to halt the unconstitutional implementation of the “Patient Healthcare and Affordable Care Act of 2010, popularly known as “ObamaCare”, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 3, and Article III, Sections 1 & 2;

    6. Defying a Federal Court Order by refusing to grant lawful deep water drilling permits, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 3, and Article III, Sections 1 & 2;

    7. Executive Branch creation and implementation of regulations asserting unconstitutional force of Federal law on matters explicitly rejected by or contrary to the will and intent of Congress, specifically the EPA implementation of Cap and Trade, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article I, Section 1 and Section 8;

    8. Refusing to secure our broken borders from illegal alien invasion, international criminal incursion, and terrorist cadre penetration, in violation of U.S. Constitution, Article III, Section 3 and Article IV, Section 4;

    9. Executive Branch malfeasance and impeding the administration of justice by preventing the U.S. Department of Justice from investigating crimes committed for the direct benefit of the President by presidential associates including: voter intimidation at the hands of the New Black Panthers and ACORN election fraud, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 3, and U.S. Criminal Code Section 135, (Comp. St. § 10305);

    10. Direct mobilizing and funding of mob violence, sedition and insurrection, as witnessed in Wisconsin, by the President’s own reelection campaign group Organizing for America, and including open statements of incitement to the insurrection by the President himself, in violation of U.S.Penal Code, Chapter 115, Section 2383;

    11. Executive Branch usurpation of lawmaking powers voiding duly enacted legislation of Congress by improperly preventing the U.S. Department of Justice from defending established Federal law – specifically the Defense of Marriage Act, in violation of U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 3;

    12. Adhering to the enemies of the United States, giving them aid and comfort, as witnessed by consorting with, supporting and installing to powerful Federal positions persons who in writing, word and deed have called for and promoted the overthrow of America’s constitutionally guaranteed Republican form of government, and the overthrow of the United States Constitution; including but not limited to William Ayers, Bernadette Dohrn, Cass Sunstein, John Holdren, Van Jones, Dalia Mogahed, Harold Koh, and Eric Holder, in violation of U.S. Constitution, Article III, Section IV and U.S. Penal Code, Section 2385.

    13. According to U.S. Code 18 USC Section 2339A, it is a treasonous act to arm a State Department-designated terrorist group. Barack Obama on September 16, 2013 signed an executive order essentially exempting himself from the law in order to allow him to send thousands of tons of weapons to what he calls “freedom fighters”—the Syrian rebels that openly identify with al-Qaeda. The executive order, however, is not retroactive. This means that the 1000 tons of weapons that our own CIA distributed to the rebels on August 21, 2013— including thousands of shoulder-fired missiles capable of taking down a commercial airliner—is clearly a treasonous act. In fact, this was just one of dozens of weapon transfers prior to September 16, 2013 that the Obama administration has made to a terrorist group that murdered thousands of Americans on 9/11.

    I read that article yesterday as well and it drew quite a few comments. Not sure I believed it but it struck a chord within many...

    I have been in dry powder for a while because I really don't see many value stocks. What I do have are some BDC'S that are kicking off a decent monthly dividend.

    Trying to learn about MLP'S now to add to an income stream. Just take a look at the DOW.. It isn't having a great year. I think up 2% and that concerns me.. many feel the FED has no bearing on the markets. I can wait a year to see who is right.

    My small % of the metals I bought years ago are doing fine. But I would consider selling some if we get a nice pop to have more dry powder or to invest in the BDC'S. Even the ones I follow are getting a little frothy right now as well.

    IT,
    I am thinking of taking some profits myself. Having some more dry powder is always comforting.
    What appears to be frothiness sure seems to be more evident.
    I recently added (NASDAQ:PNNT) and to MAIN.(NYSE:http://bit.ly/MxLYuZ). BDC's.
    PSEC (NASDAQ:http://bit.ly/Ne44cC) is doing nicely and some say it will continue to do so.
    Good Luck with the metals. I have little ownership in them, other than a few collectible coins. ;NEM (NYSE:http://bit.ly/zV2fzB) is my only stock and it is down.

    Author’s reply » IT'S AWAYS CHINA INVOLVED ISN'T IT ??

    Audi is next automaker to cut spare-part prices in China....

    Audi (OTCQX:VLKAY) is now the next automaker to trim its spare-part prices in China, following an anti-monopoly probe which investigated the country's auto industry.

    Many global carmakers have faced scrutiny from China's state planner, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), which accused foreign automakers of using a dominant market position to overcharge Chinese customers on products and spare parts.

    As a result of the NDRC's probe, many companies have cut service charges and spare-part prices in China including Jaguar Land Rover (NYSE:TTM) and Mercedes-Benz (OTCPK:DDAIY).

    Yes, IT, China has been busy making friends abroad. President Xi Jinping has been signing 56 cooperation agreements during his visit to the BRICs conference in Latin America. http://bit.ly/1lKgV1V

    Meanwhile President Obama is trying to get Central America to stop sending their children here and Congress has been doing nothing. http://nydn.us/1lKhoRB

    Did you read the whole article?. BHO wants us to start a program right in the central Am country itself to help the children get to the US without going thru Mexico.
    He is the one changing laws and allowing this to happen.
    We need to enforce the laws we HAVE Correctly and protect the border NOW. Congress has already allotted $ for the border, it just is not being done.

    Because China only cares about China. Period. The U.S. tries to be everything to everybody, like a big nanny. The U.S. should adopt China's stance, and only care about the U.S.

    Hi al

    I don't like anti-Americanism either. Harry Reid is un-American. What he was doing in Nevada, while running off the ranchers was freeing up the land for a Chinese company that his son represents to build a $5 billion solar farm. Bring in heavily armed BLM goons to run off ranchers so the Chinese can take over the land.

    Get rid of Harry Reid. What a festering hemorrhoid on the US's gubt collective a$$, if you know what...

    And BTW the US Gubt IS NOT AMERICA. America is the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and people living free and doing the pursuit of happiness. The US gubt is giving us the opposite; it's not America.

    The #1 concern is if Russia feeling pressured enough to facilitate an Iranian incursion into southern Iraq then times as we have known them will be gone.#2 is a Europe who feels between a rock and a hard place has to choose a devil of convenience(Russia) and Germany just joins right in with Russia,Winter is coming.Wouldn't leave us in any good position.

    With all this doom and gloom posting, is anyone NOT making money to this point? I personally am having my best year since 2009. I know there will be opportunities to make money in any stock environment; whether it's in Shorting , or staying long. I'm long this weekend, with only a little powder dry.
    My "Call of the Week" is CBI up ~5% on the coming week, with JAZZ ~4%.

    It takes a 43% gain to recoup a 30% loss . In 2008 the market took a 50% + drop.The people in IRA's and 401k's will never be able to regain their losses unless they become traders that started doubling down in 2009 .How many people like that did ,since O isn't a number ?

    Rose,

    But the total yearly dividend from both entities will be $0.70. (NASDAQ:WIN)'s current yearly dividend is $1.00.

    They are definitely keeping the dividend. They are also definitely cutting it.

    It may/may not increase - that remains an unknown at this point.

    Tupperware is marketed in the most anachronistic way. It was sold through tupperware parties for years and it was almost like multilevel and is overpriced. Rubbermaid OTOH was sold through Wal-Mart stores and almost were put out of business by the Ft. Smith purchasing dept. because of Wal-Marts low,low,low purchasing practices. The way Wallyworld does is they take a brand name and squeeze the company so much that the company must find ways to sell a cheaper version,I worked for AC-Delco and found out their AC -Delco battery sold for a couple dollars less than our scost us at THE WD ,wholesale distributor.HOw ? Why? Simple theirs is a FAKE ,made by the same Mfg. company. Same is true of their Michelin tires and most of their "Name brand " Products. They are as fake as Hillary Clinton who is a big benefactor of Wal-Mart the Arkansas based company. Rant over LOL

    Author’s reply » Loomis Sayles managers bet on higher rates !!!!

    "The market is very complacent right now in terms of the valuations," says Matthew Eagan, co-manager of the Loomis Sayles Bond Fund. Along with co-managers Dan Fuss and Elaine Stokes, Eagan has doubled its short-term U.S. and Canadian debt holdings to 27% of (AUM) - a bet government bond rates are about to move higher.

    "The global economy is strong enough to support the Fed’s decision to continue the taper and eventually raise rates by the middle of 2015," says Eagan. "We want to be prepared for that to happen."

    Eagan's fund has outperformed 98% of its peers over the last five years.

    In today's action - as the FOMC is in day one of its 2-day meeting - the 10-year Treasury yield continues go its own way - off another three basis points to 2.46%. TLT +0.4%, TBT -0.8%

    Options expiration day. The $1,300 gold and $20.50 silver options must expire worthless. You didn't think they would let us down did you?

    On another note: a Jewish doctor, whose daughter lives in Israel, says John Kerry is required to pass through the metal detector when he visits Israel. Did you ever think the Secretary of State of the United States of America would be subjected to such indignities? But you have to screen your enemies.

    Treasurys take Chicago PMI plunge in stride

    The 10 point decline to 52.6 in July was led by a "collapse" in the production and ordering components, say the report authors, leaving the production gauge barely in expansion territory. New orders - the most highly weighted component of the headline index - saw its largest decline since November. Backlogs fell into contraction territory.

    The surprise fall calls into question the sustainability of the recovery, says MNI Indicators' Philip Uglow.

    The response of the Treasury market suggests it believes the slow report is a one-hit wonder. The 10-year yield remains higher by three basis points at 2.59%. TLT -0.6%, TBT +1.2%

    ANY OPINIONS ??
