Once again I want to recommend using technical analysis to make your trading/investment decisions.
There are so many pundits out there making recommendations there is no way to know who to listen to.
I also recommend coming up with your own ways to use technical analysis. If you try to take short cuts and just try to listen to the "experts" it probably will not work out so well.
During this recent run up I was trying to figure out when the markets may run out of steam. Traditional analysis was not giving me any clear signal on what to do. One thing I did notice was that the averages seem to be "too high" in relation to their 100 weeks SMAs.
Below is a chart of the Russell 2000. Notice that in most cases, it does not get much higher than 32%-33% above the 100 week SMA.
I tried warning some people. But they didn't listen. I even showed them this chart. But still they said, "we are going higher." Now,radio silence.
