21 Sep, 2010, 12.25PM IST,ET Now Dinesh Thakkar, CMD, Angel Broking, spoke to ET Now on the further growth prospects of economy and liquidity.
ET Now: What about FII money? They have invested 16 billion in India so far from the start of 2010. In fact the last week has been stellar in terms of the fund inflow. Do you believe this can continue and can it continue at the pace that we have seen it continue or happen over the last 3 months?
Dinesh Thakkar: We have already seen FIIs pumping in more money than what they had invested last year. Last year, they had invested 16 billion that is when actually their economy was in recession, and was in a negative growth. We have seen economy growing at a positive rate and the rate increasing from there. Until now, almost we have received 16 billion and still we have many more months left. So already that trend has started and that confidence has started to getting build in, this resulting in huge inflow in our country. This trend will continue because there is no reason for them and there is no opportunity for them where they can invest, where they can have a visibility of a growth rate of 8% to 10% for next 4 to 5 years.
