I work in the hedge fund business and there is a consensus that Aluminium and copper prices have rised too far too fast. However, they are all pretty bullish on iron ore and all its "related commodities" such as steel and coaking coal, mainly due to the high demand from EM and paticularly China. Which are the stocks within these industries that you find more promising? I was thinking about Posco (Korean steel producer with strong internal demand from Korea and even stronger from China), Cliffs AK steel at the steel manufacturers side, Vale and Gerdau (thanks for the idea David), iron ore mining companies, Alpha Natural Resources, Massey, Consol Energy in the coaking coal side, ...do you have any preference, any ideas or reasoning behind your stock picking?
Looking forward to getting your feedbacks,
Best
