  • Stocks We Would Sell for Friday Jan 22-ISRG and VECO up big 0 comments
Jan 22, 2010 8:08 PM | about stocks: NTAP, HSNI, TECD, CRM, VIP, RHT, BWY, ISRG, VECO, ROST, ETP, ASH, TDG, TLVT, SCL

Intraday Action for  Friday Jan 22

ISRG is up 36 points today. We are now up 16% from our Dec 11 entry date.

VECO up almost 8% from our Jan 20 entry date

    Postions we would close

We are getting a nice intraday reversal off the lows today which could setup some nice setups over the next couple of days. Regardless of a possible move higher we are closing out the following positions.

We would close ROST. Still up around 2.6% and was up as much as 7.8% from our Dec 29 entry point

We would close out ETP which is still up around 2.4% and was up as much as 6% from our Dec 11 entry date. No patience for slow moving or stalling stocks in this market.

If you still own ASH you should have been stopped out at breakeven today on any remaining position.  Was up as much as 5.6%

We would close out TDG. Still up close to 20% but acting poorly

TLVT is stalling. It is still up 18.5% from our Dec 1 trigger point and was up as much as 28%

SCL is stalling. We would close position with around a 1.6% gain but was up as much as 7.9% from our Dec 1 setup

NTAP is definately closed. Gain of around 43% from our Aug 25 trigger point. Was up as much as 57%

HSNI closed out with a 26% gain from our Nov 10 trigger point. Was up as much as 36%

TECD is now definately closed.  Got an 8% move out f that one. If you held onto 1/2 position  of your position you either got stopped out at breakeven yesterday or probably had about a .38% loss on the lower low today.

CRM made a lower low today so should have closed out position with around a 2.4% profit on 1/2 position and as much as 16.22% gain on the other 1/2 position depending on where you took profit on the way up

VIP closed out. Was up as much as 11.8% and second 1/2 position stopped out around breakeven if you didn’t sell the entire position on the way up

RHT could no longer hold the 50 day support level so we would have closed it out near the open with around a 3% loss. The stock was never really up more than .5%

BWY closed on a move lower today. We see support not too far below but would rather close out positions in this environment than sit and hope for buying to come in. Probably around a 8.4% loss.
