  • 10 Dividend Stock Portfolio vs. SP500 0 comments

    Using the EzBacktest tool available at thriftytrend.blogspot.com/
    I  created the following chart, by inputting the following 10 dividend stocks(ABT,CVX,T,JNJ,MCD,PEP,PG,MMM,K,CLX) using the following parameters:
    1) Allocate 10% to each stock
    2) 313 months to test(tried to get close to 30 years-actually about 26 years)
    3) Rebalance yearly
    The output came out like this:
    Months shown 312
    Avg Dividend Yield 3.14%
    Returns 3676.6%
    Annualized Returns 14.9%
    Outperform SP500 3033%
    Standard Deviation 13.9%
    Sharpe Ratio 0.87
    Reallocation frequency Yearly
    Starting Balance $88,840
    Ending Balance $3,600,000
    This is dividends re-invested.
