    Same-store sales rose 3% in the retail segment and fell 0.2% in the bigger restaurant segment. The average check size rose 2.1% amid a 2.4% average price increase. Same-store traffic fell 2.3%, but Cracker Barrel said its performance outpaced the industry for the 14th straight quarter.
