As we approach the end of a strong December, here is a quick screen for dividend-paying companies of the S&P 500 index that may still provide some value. I measure value by Free Cash Flow Yield. I used Finviz.com for the screener and the screen was completed on December 20, 2013 (therefore, the data is as of December 19, 2013).
I excluded the financial sector, companies with a negative Price/FCF, and companies with negative EPS projection for next year.
Below is the list of S&P 500 dividend-paying companies with an FCF Yield greater than 10%:
I have not independently verified the above numbers. For example, I am surprised that ADM has such a high FCF Yield. Please just use this list as a starting point for some possible year-end dividend-value investments.
