Renowned strategy consulting firm Monitor Company Group LP voluntarily filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday in Delaware in order to facilitate a sale to Deloitte Consulting LLP and its affiliates. Monitor, which has approximately 1,200 employees and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was founded in 1983 by a group of entrepreneurs which included Harvard Business School professors Michael Porter, Mark Fuller and Joseph Fuller.
