  • Leave Marissa Mayer Alone! 0 comments
    Mar 3, 2013 4:07 AM | about stocks: YHOO

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer received a barrage of criticism following the decision to stop hiring employees working from home.
Stated that this process suppresses creativity, depressing working mothers, harassment and lack of faith in the workers.
it was said she returns work backwards in time to the period of slavery in the 18th century.
So against all the opponents I actually think Mayer is right.
Yahoo is a good company, but in which it deals with "good" just is not "good enough".

To take a bite in the advertising market and supplying of information the company should be excellent at all levels and efficiency is an important parameter in the company's success.
As it is very trendy today to give responsibility to the employee - give him space for creativity, to flourish and succeed in the most comfortable environment, this process has considerable implications Where the cost exceeds the benefits.

First, it is significant that a worker will come on a daily basis to work.
    for the corporation:
it knows on the existence of the worker, it can share content and projects, it can instill a corporate culture and work ethic.
Increasing employee productivity -not only for the direct supervision of the in charge, but due to the interactions with other employees which creates a healthy competition and better yields.

Another welcome by-product is the employee's loyalty to the corporation.
Employee who works from home and interactions with the the corporation are few have less interest to be loyal because he feels less connected to the company that employs him.

    In terms of employee:
Employee can bring himself to feel more full of achievement and self-satisfaction.
His job,as successful as it may be. will get a different meaning when carried out in conjunction with other people.
His ability to move within the company to higher positions will increase since his direct superiors can appreciate his work and identify the possible potential.

Work is not a dirty word
There are times when you can feel free to give employees more and there are times they need to be called for the job.
Just like in the army when there are times where you can relax and visit the home and there are times when duty calls and one should be prepared to fight.
Yahoo is in a state where it's time to fight and prove what they are worth.
If you have employees who want to do it from home you just might want them to do it in another company.

Marissa Mayer is a woman who built herself from scratch in hard work.
A few days after she gave birth she returned to work in order to succeed.
Apparently there are those who envy her and want to succeed from home.
but I think it shows the reason why the board chose her to be CEO.
