I used to run a limited partnership, boutique hedge fund in the 90s. Retired in 2000 and moved from New York City to Toronto, Canada, got married, raised a family and basically settled down. After a few years in Toronto, my wife got tired of the city’s 8 months of cold weather and insisted that... More

Feb 14, 2013 2:49 AM | about stocks: FSLR, LDK, S, SPWR, SUNE

Today has been a long day for me...just back home from my day job and am very exhausted...so this update is going to be quick and dirty...

Earlier today, I sold all 80 contracts of my SPWR March 18, 2013 CALLS S6.00 for a hefty $3.90...I had purchased these calls about 6 weeks ago for an average price of 49¢...so not a bad ROI...I also sold out of my WFR April 20, 2013 CALLS $3.50 for $1.28, having purchased these at average price of 41¢...

As I had mentioned in my morning post, I went ahead and did establish a relatively small position in LDK June 18 CALLS $1.50...I purchased 100 CALL contracts @ 50¢

I have included a screenshot of the Excel spreadsheet with the Options2Wealth's current positions, including cash...I am also providing screenshots of the option quotes at the time I made the individual transactions...

My Options2Wealth portfolio is up 315% in 6 weeks, from its original $10,000 start to its current value of $41,579.03, including $33,782.03 in cash.

Am too bushed to continue...will let the numbers in the Excel screenshot do most of the talking instead...

P.S. 2/17/2013...The previous screen shot of the summary page from February 13, 2013, has been removed and replaced with this new screen shot because the figures in the earlier document did not accurately reflect the portfolio's holdings...I believe this one does...This Excel spreadsheet is a work in progress and is being constantly tweaked and refined to ensure accuracy...During this iterative process, errors may crop up from time to time, but those errors are just that, errors and I will constantly keep a close eye to make sure that these mistakes are caught and rectified as soon as they are spotted...
