  • 11 Stocks Signaling A Golden Cross Moving Average Alert 0 comments
Jul 26, 2010 1:31 PM | about stocks: ARNA, ACV-OLD, CUB, BUD, AZN, CHU, ENOC, GLDD, FMS, AWH, TESO

If a stock's 50 day moving average crosses above its 200 day moving average, it's called a "Golden Cross" signal. This is typically seen as a bullish signal, especially if volume increases confirm the uptrend.

All of the stocks mentioned here have seen their 50 day moving average cross above their 200 day moving average. To control the quality of the list, we've only focused on stocks with market caps above $300M. And to see what short-sellers think of these upswings, we've also included data on short float and short ratios.

We've also included analysis of the relative volume on these stocks. Relative volume is a ratio that expresses the stock's current volume to its  3-month average. The higher the ratio, the more significant current trading volume, and the more credible the breakout.

The list has been sorted by relative volume.
