  • Treasury Yields Likely Forming Annual Cycle Low 0 comments
Oct 16, 2011 3:53 PM | about stocks: TLT, TBT, TMV

The 10-year Treasury note yield closed sharply higher again this week, confirming the development of an Intermediate-Term Cycle Low (ITCL) in September as predicted by the cycle low signal last week.

From a long-term perspective, we are nine months into the annual cycle following the Annual Cycle High (NYSE:ACH) in February and the strong rebound thus far in October indicates that the Annual Cycle Low (NYSE:ACL) is likely developing this month.

Annual cycle translation has been bearish for the last several years and the move below the 2010 low in August reconfirmed the downward bias for the current cycle. However, we are approaching a potential inflection point in the long-term cycle, so it will be important to monitor the rally phase of the current annual cycle for signs of a translation change. We will identify the key developments as they occur in our market forecasts and signal notifications available to subscribers.
