The plunge in share price commenced in line with the legal announcement on 09th October 2012, not following Chevron's 3rd Quarter earnings announcement on 02 November 2012.

Interesting that the drops (though significant) are only in the 5-10 point range. Bad but not horrible since this has been a weak energy market recently anyway. Thanks for doing this. Very interesting to see graphed.
Curious how the CVX prices drops would match up in timing to some energy tracking stocks or ETFs? Do you have anything like that? Maybe CVX didn't just react to the decisions but also to this very weak energy market? As I am only speculating I really don't have any idea.
