Tunisian protests and broader implications....

The link above is to Marc Lynch's blog on ForeignPolicy.com.  The ‘blog’ and the link embedded re “Tunisia” are very interesting reading….not because I have any plans to invest in Tunisia. But the issues discussed in these articles point to some very unstable demographics in many of the North African and Arabian countries that could, if not completely and violently suppressed (which btw is quite likely), effect some meaningful change in the region. Low odds. But greater odds nearterm for larger protests or even anti-government attacks on oil fields, pipelines, ports, etc….as a way of hitting the government’s in the pocketbook.
Very fascinating as a geopolitical topic and potentially meaningful re oil markets...fyi....
