ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) declined 1.04% to close at $60.81. COP traded 2.57 million shares for the day and its earning per share remained $7.37. ConocoPhillips is an international, integrated energy company. It has six segments. Its E&P segment explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids and bitumen on a worldwide basis. The Midstream segment gathers, processes and markets natural gas produced by ConocoPhillips and others, and fractionates and markets natural gas liquids, predominantly in the United States and Trinidad. Its R&M segment purchases, refines, markets and transports crude oil and petroleum products.

National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NYSE:NOV) declined 2.81% to close at $61.52. NOV traded 2.48 million shares for the day and its earning per share remained $3.87. National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NOV) is provider of equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations, oilfield services and supply chain integration services to the upstream oil and gas industry. The Company operates through three business segments: Rig Technology, Petroleum Services & Supplies, and Distribution Services. The Rig Technology segment designs, manufactures, sells and services systems for the drilling, completion, and servicing of oil and gas wells.

Royal Dutch Shell plc (ADR) (NYSE:RDS.A) declined 1.41% to close at $62.23. RDS.A traded 1.08 million shares for the day and its earning per share remained $4.99. Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) is an independent oil and gas company. The Company owns, directly or indirectly, investments in the numerous companies constituting the Group. Shell is engaged worldwide in the aspects of the oil and gas industry and also has interests in chemicals and other energy-related businesses. The Company operates in three segments: Upstream, Downstream and Corporate. Its Upstream business explores for and extracts crude oil and natural gas, often in joint ventures with international and national oil companies.
