Packaging Corporation of America NYSE: PKG advanced 2.81% to close at $23.80 PKG traded 1.61 million shares for the day. Its earning per share remained $1.84. Packaging Corporation of America (NYSEARCA:PCA), is a producer of containerboard and corrugated products in the United States. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company produced approximately 2,258,000 million tons of containerboard, of which about 80% was consumed in PCA's corrugated products manufacturing plants, 11% was sold to domestic customers and 9% was sold to the export market. PCA's corrugated products manufacturing plants sold about 28.9 billion square feet (NASDAQ:BSF) of corrugated products. As of December 31, 2009, it produced 1.4 million tons of kraft linerboard at its mills located in Counce, Tennessee and Valdosta, Georgia, and 0.9 million tons of semi-chemical corrugating medium at the Company's mills located in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and Filer City, Michigan.

Gold Fields Limited (ADR) NYSE: GFI increased 2.80% to close at $16.16 GFI traded 4.80 million shares for the day. Its earning per share remained $0.68. Gold Fields Limited (Gold Fields) is a producer of gold and holder of gold reserves in South Africa, Ghana, Australia and Peru. In Peru, Gold Fields also produces copper. Gold Fields is primarily involved in underground and surface gold and copper mining and related activities, including exploration, extraction, processing and smelting. Gold Fields also has an interest in a platinum group metal exploration project. The majority of Gold Fields' operations, based on gold production, are located in South Africa. Its South African operations are Driefontein, Kloof, Beatrix and South Deep. Gold Fields also owns the St. Ives and Agnew gold mining operations in Australia and has a 71.1% interest in each of the Tarkwa gold mine and the Damang gold mine in Ghana.

Silver Wheaton Corp. (NYSE:USA) NYSE: SLW increased 2.73% to close at $27.48 SLW traded 6.90 million shares for the day. Its earning per share remained $0.53. Silver Wheaton Corp. (Silver Wheaton) is a mining company, which generates its revenue primarily from the sale of silver. As of December 31, 2009, the Company had entered into 13 long-term silver purchase agreements and two long-term precious metal purchase agreements. The Company has nine business segments: the silver produced by the Luismin, Zinkgruvan, Yauliyacu, Penasquito, Cozamin, Barrick and Other mines, the silver and gold produced by the Minto mine and corporate operations. Its 100% wholly owned subsidiaries include Silver Wheaton (Caymans) Ltd. and Silverstone Resources (Barbados) Corp. The Luismin operations consist of the San Dimas mine, the Los Filos mine and the San Martin mine.
