Thanks FGT, a new follower here...a suggestion - would be useful to add in dates on your comments so the readers would know when you've made the advice??

Enjoy your common sense approach to investing, thanks!

thanks for the comment,, Most of my portfolio has been purchased over a long stretch , I added some of the new additions with dates & prices as i started to build this blog.
However, I will take your advice and either add a link to back to the comment or blog post to indicate when i make that recommendation either to buy or sell .

I Realize it would be difficult now to go back and sift thru my commentary to see where for example, I said to buy COH , etc..

So for the sake of transparency , its a good idea

    Thanks for the suggestion

Thanks FGT for your professional opinions which I follow.

Question: I like your GMLP holding and it's LT growth LNG profile. Why not consider GLNP? It is the General Partner of GMLP, has a lower distribution but a better distribution growth profile? Also, it files 1099, not K-1, simpler for tax preparations.

    Your thoughts?

    Author’s reply » astarr,

cant argue with what you have stated , i chose GMLP because of the higher dist. , really comes down to one's preference ,, i do believe GMLP dist. growth will be ok in future

As far as the 1099/ k-1 issue , i know it bothers most but i have never had an issue with filing on any of the mlp's i have owned ,, i use turbo tax and it does the job.. but u r correct the 1099 is easier..

    thanks for the comment

    best regards

    Author’s reply » Update 10/31

(DLR) disappointed again with their latest earnings announcement yesterday. More importantly they lowered guidance again.. While the distribution is well covered and yielding 6.3% , the shares will be under pressure and can be viewed as 'dead' money ..

I took most of my position off of the table yesterday and would not suggest that investors add here. I believe I can find another opportunity to put that money to work. Perhaps selecting a situation where a simultaneous buy and write call to make up for the distribution income that will be lost..
