Apr 28, 2014 11:55 AM | about stocks: MU, FCX, NUAN, EBAY

This past week the (NASDAQ:MU) position that was instituted on 3/31 (buy @ $24.40, sell the $24.50 4/25 weekly call) was called away with (MU) closing @ $25.30. That produced a 4.3% gain in 26 days.

I decided to come right back with (MU) today, purchasing shares @ $25.35 and selling the $25.50 strike May 23 (Weekly) calls for $1.07 . That income will yield 4.2% in less than 30 days.

The account started with an investment that never exceeded $100,000 and has now grown to $122,929 since June 5th 2013..

One of the reasons I decided to keep the investment under the stated $100,000 threshold was to show how an investor can take a portion of their portfolio and use it to create "cash flow" to enhance a monthly pension, social security , etc.

At the moment there is approximately $90,000 invested, and going forward I will change the focus to now concentrate on creating more wealth in the account by putting some of the gains to "work".

As stated in all of the installments of this series -- this is a "real" portfolio.

    Stay Tuned

Disclosure: I am long MU, FCX, NUAN, EBAY.

Additional disclosure: I am long numerous equity positions all can be seen here on this blog..
