I love the whole idea of value investing... buying when everyone else is fleeing and selling when everyone else is greedy. Contrarian in nature, right up my ally. However, I enjoy doing the ground work in order to find these undervalued stocks. Slow times though, leave me feeling a little empty on the inside. I find it ironic that I am unhappy in a rising market while 99% of Americans love nothing more than seeing the paper profits being made in thier retirement accounts. I believe though that learning how to deal with being principled and sitting patiently on the sidelines will prove vital to current and future success in investing. So, even though its been extremely slow of late, I know that learning how to deal with inactivity will prove to good in and of itself. As long as you don't make any irratinoal decisions, your performance will turn out fine.
