I completed another store tour yesterday and was very encouraged at the continued prominent Skechers floor and shelf positioning. Pricing has firmed up everywhere.
Most encouraging though is the feedback that many customers still prefer the original 'rocker sole' model, even though it's now 1.5 yrs old. Some inventory problem!!! Reasons from store mgrs same as Zappos.com reviews - cushioning / comfort for people with foot, leg, hip, back problems etc. Short and overweight people also like the height 'lift'. The customers are not young! This has become a walking / working shoe and a classic. Xmas gift purchases expected to be huge by store managers.
