    Jun 25, 2012 11:18 PM | about stocks: PG

Take a look at their history - since Jan 2010 it just cycles between 59 and 67.

It's slightly above 59 now - debt is well under control.

The S&P funds are big owners of the stock - none of the index funds are going to sell PG, and neither will the closet indexers.

It's like a guarantee that the stock will be held.

Vanguard's funds own almost 4.5% of the shares, and State Street's funds own another 4+%. And that's only the well known indexers who don't try to hide that they're indexing. It wouldn't surprise me if another 20% of the holders are closet index funds and wealthy families who own the stock rather than pay Vanguard to index for them.

They have a market cap of 162 billion USD and more than 10 million shares trade every day. Big cap and very liquid.

The 3.8% dividend yield helps too - get that from a bank account these days!

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours.
