    China's economy has been sputtering and one indicator of economic well-being hasn't been doing very well lately: inventory. An article in The New York Times recently pointed out the burgeoning piles of unsold goods Chinese producers are burdened with. According to the article:

    The main nongovernment survey of manufacturers in China showed on Thursday that inventories of finished goods rose much faster in August than in any month since the survey began in April 2004.
