    Today, the Federal Open market Committee stated that although "economic activity decelerated somewhat over the first half of this year," all it will be doing is standing by for now. Sure growth in unemployment has been "slow" and the housing sector remains "depressed," but the weakening economy still hasn't reached the threshold the FOMC will accept as part of its "highly accommodative stance for monetary policy" in order to take significant action. Why? Here are some potential reasons.
