FSLR Bullish on Middle East and North Africa regions power growth. Ahmed Nada, Vice President of Business Development for the Middle East, told a media briefing in Dubai.
Ahmed Nada, who was appointed in February to run First Solar's first regional office in Dubai emphasize how Middle East and the North African regions are looking to other alternate energy beside depending on their own fossil fuels to outweigh their power growth. And FSLR is in the position to help these countries meet their power evolution.
FSLR has already built 5 megawatt photovoltaic (PV) plant in Dubai and won a contract to construct a 13 megawatt PV plant south of Dubai.
FSLR stand to win more contract in these countries because of its leader and its advance PV solar panels. PV panels can capture sunlight and transform heat directly into electricity compared to the Concentrating Solar Polar (NYSE:CSP), which uses mirrors reflecting the sun's rays to heat a fluid that creates steam to power a turbine. And PV solar panels are cheaper than the CSP. Ahmed Nada sees consistent growth for solar in these regions for 2013 and going forward.
