    KB Home (NYSE:KBH) announced its first quarter financial results for the 2014 fiscal year, swinging to a profit from its year-ago net loss. Revenue increased 11% to $450.7M, missing analyst predictions of $435M. Earnings swung from a net loss of $12.5M and $0.16 per share a year-ago to $10.6M and $0.12 per share, beating analyst expectations of $0.08 per share. Net orders grew 5.6% to 1,765 while the value of net orders climbed 18% to $600.2M with backlog increasing 4.2% to 2,880 homes. The average sales price of homes grew in every region of the United States from $271,300 a year-ago to $305,200 while overall deliveries fell 2.9% to 1,442, attributed primarily to a lower backlog in the West Coast region.
