    Iran sends 15th Fleet to Red Sea
     
    Dear Golfitobob,

    Iran has announced it is sending its 15th Fleet, including at least one submarine, to the Red Sea. The move heightened tensions in Israel, as Iran has the missile capacity to strike Israeli targets from offshore. Though Iran’s naval commander described the news as conveying a “message of peace and friendship to all countries,” the presence of this new threat so close to Israel does not build confidence in a nation that has been repeatedly threatened with being “wiped off the map” by Iran’s leader.

    This latest escalation follows a blistering attack on Israel by President Ahmadinejad on Qods (Jerusalem) Day in Teheran. Ahmadinejad described Israel as a “cancer” that needed to be removed from the region and declared the creation of a Palestinian state just the “first step” to reaching the goal of destroying Israel completely. The world is turning a blind eye to these real and credible threats and pushing Israel to concede to their enemies. We must do all we can to stop the plan to curse Israel and divide Jerusalem.

    Are you suggesting that Israelis who want a just peace also want the destruction of Israel? I think not. Many Israelis are appalled by their govenment's blunders and misdeeds, just as many Americans are appalled by our government's blunders and misdeeds. Israel exists in the hearts and minds of millions of people, and as such cannot be 'destroyed'. As individuals we are all 'destroyed' by time, but ideas live on.

    Mutual Assured Destruction (seekingalpha.com/symbo...) has kept the nuclear powers from another world war for many years.

    I'm not sure what this means. That US Jews want an end to...Jews? That's frightening, and I hope it's untrue. Some of the finest people I know are Jews.

    Paul, I am suggesting that you can't have a peace with people who do not want peace. I am suggesting that Jews who believe the Arabs who are negotiating are being lied to ! Abbas/Mazan tells the truth all over the Middle East and the
    " STATE" is just the first step !

    I have series of Instablogs with his comments and if you read them I will gladly and joyfully continue conversations. And, you are 110% correct with the MAD comment..........Israel's nukes are the reason she still exists.......

    Maybe you are or not aware, but, for the last 25 years the Arab League meetings have discussed if they can take a nuclear strike from Israel if they go to war again and the consensus was yes !

    As I pointed out in several blogs.. Arafat and Mazan always enter talks ,but, do not want a deal......They want to use ballets and not bullets and Israel by it's LAWs will not be a Jewish State......

    Again. It would take a short while to read the articles I posted .

    OG is a sharp and well informed person and claims she and her husband would board a jet. Bless them.

    I know there are millions of US Jews who would not.And, your sub comment was a recent post of mine......


    So, if you see all the current things going on you can tell me exactly what you reject in my comments...............
    To MANY Jews losing the Temple Mount and the Wall is losing Israel and since Clinton US operatives have been used to thwart Israeli wishes............. What should millions of Jews think................ gb

    Maybe you are not aware, but for the last 60 years US military leaders have discussed if the US could take a nuclear strike from Russia if we go to war with them. The consensus was...Yes! I guess that's why they call it M-A-D. The people can take anything thrown at them, because the leaders have decided so. In the meantime we lose more people every year to car accidents, alcohol, and cigarettes, then we've ever lost in any war. Go figure.

    We probably agree, you and I, on any matter decided by the mind, but not necessarily every matter decided by the heart.
