  • Author’s reply » No, no, no... not mine. I keep a pretty clean desk. Just three monitors. Two identical offices with identical workstations set up in Maine and Connecticut.

  • Two monitors is perfect for me. Once you go dual-monitor you can never go back. Been using dual monitors for over 6 years now and love it. I may add a third one eventually. Any more than 3 seems like overkill for most people. If you're on a single monitor and use your PC for most of your work day, do yourself a favor and add a second monitor!

  • Author’s reply » I agree 100%. The advantage really comes from not having to click nearly as much and to having "input" and "output" physically separated.

  • I run three monitors - a 25" HP LED (http://amzn.to/WONfch), a 23" ASUS LCD, and my laptop screen, which is kind of small. Ever since I started using two, using one is painful, and ever since I started using three, I don't know how I ever lived with just one. I could probably figure out a way to utilize a fourth as well, except my desk is too small. I'm planning to build a desktop soon, and I'll get a nice big third screen when I do.

(btw, I'm not completely cognizant of all the technology details, but if you have the money, LED screens are totally worth it. The HP LED blows the Asus LCD away, even though they're both 1080p. So much brighter/crisper/clear...
