Very interesting letter. The XNPT "829" compound is a multiple sclerosis probable home run and has to be worth more than the whole company. It needs to be with a company with more resources like SNY who could develop it quicker.

Many facepalm moments while reading this letter. Visited James Madison's house today -- reminds me of his view of human nature. The Clinton group says they own ~2.7% of Xenoport (1.3 million shares). With $2.5 billion AUM they have the resources to cause change but is 2.7% stake enough to do so? Xenoport gave a terse non-response to Clinton's statements which indicates to me that they don't take this very seriously [1]. But previously the Clinton group had some success with the Wet Seal retailer [2], and replacing a director at Nutrisystem.

If I were to take a position I would wait until there is a more exciting fight going on here.

Given the misalignment of interests and that shares outstanding have increased in every single year continued dilution seems likely -- I guess the Clinton Group letter is just posturing.
