Too bad $SATS didn't take a run at $LORL - I thought they might. Nonetheless I think there may still be some upside.

Do you have any opinion on implications of failure to settle ViaSat suit? Maybe $VSAT is being difficult and $LORL wants to see which way the wind is blowing in court, but it seems like a strange thing to do in the middle of a sale process.

Author’s reply » It would have been better to settle and I know that LORL tried. I agree 100% that it is strange. It is not as big a deal as the market price change is making it out to be, but it is certainly suboptimal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an impact on transaction timing. I know that, in the event of a change of control, there's a dollar cap on indemnification in the purchase agreement with MDA, but I bet it's a big number.
