    Thanks for posting this. I was a big fan when I was in law school but living in a grad school dorm up there. I always wondered what happened to him. Mark Russell had somewhat similar material and as do the Capitol Steps. He was high brow but if he had continued I am sure he would have sustained himself with a huge audience. I am surprised he didn't link up with someone out in the Bay Area and continue.

    Thanks. I enjoyed his work but my late wife loved him. The perfect read for a snowy afternoon. It was rather thought provoking in that there were some similarities to J.D. Salinger's career. Is withdrawal from stardom the ultimate narcissistic act as posited in the article? I doubt that but it is interesting that both artists seem to have wished for a perpetual adolescence.

    I used to play guitar and sing his 'Folk Song Army'. Also recall his 'Who's Next' about countries getting the atom bomb...'Luxembourg is next to go and who knows maybe Monaco..' Anybody remember Biff Rose?
