So not even to the "surf" part yet, but getting the hang of the multi-line kite. I have an instructor who is going to try to teach this to me on Rangeley Lake this summer and then again this winter on the snow. I have never read the word "lacerations" so frequently as in the various insurance forms. Even the small trainer kite has a lot of energy. This should be extremely fun so a fine risk:reward but with plenty on both sides of the ledger. Any experiences with this sport?

No experience. Just be sure to have someone video it, or better yet get a wearable device to document your experience. Myself not able to do most things except walk, but sure hope you have a grand time!!

only with the small kites coming within feet of hitting kids on the shoreline when the kite suddenly dips down and the hot dogs are too close to shore. Your lats and lower back will thank you for any core workouts you have done this year. Good luck! Seriously, those guys BOOK on the water.

Kitesurf is easy....I keep this kind of "sport" for old age. Windsurf is really hard graft....The only difficult part in Kitesurf is telling your mother you're gay....:)

I primarily sell disability insurance for a living. All the applications ask if you do this kind of stuff. Or if you ever have. Hopefully you have your insurance all in place already.

I only did the body-dragging and flying the kite. Never got around to actually doing the surfing part. I guess it's too complex for me.
