    I wonder what that number would really be if we replicated the MUCH different measurement devices, regulations, standards and rules in place back in the early 80's?

    I simply do not trust these comparisons. Far too much self-serving statistical meddling has swept under the bridge in the intervening decades.

    But thanks John for the data, as always. I meant no slam at your effort.

    The important number (as you have pointed out here before John) is the U6 rate that hit 17.5% for October.
