Reiterated: Caution Going Forward In July And August In Major Stock Composites 3 comments
Jun 18, 2012 10:31 AM
Trading the past several sessions has seen a pause in the May declines and a bit of a comeback for the major market stock composite indexes.
However. caution may be warranted for those considering jumping back into the market just yet. Seasonal price history over the last few years indicated the market could easily pause its decline this month and actually bounce back a little. The key question going forward is how well the market fairs in July and August.
Looking at the Annual Cycle, the 2-year (Congressional) Cycle, and the Presidential Cycle EchoVectors does not inspire confidence that we have seen the end of selling yet this summer...

Per you own great comments and insight to the SA communty, and analytical conclusion that more downside is in store, my work, although more technically oriented, agrees with yours.
In fact, the possibility of significant downside pressure resuming this week is so strong an ALERT to that effect has subsequently been issued. See the AEV for the Thursday low this echobackweek in 2011 (Thursday 6 June 23 2011).
As mentioned in prior comment, ALERT was issued for downside pressure, which now has already begun, and has been manifested in trading the last several sessions.
We are now in a key and critical price range in an important time frame.
