Firsthand Technology Value Fund Announces Pricing of Follow-on Offering
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Firsthand Technology Value Fund, Inc. (Nasdaq:SVVC) (the "Company") today announced that it has priced a follow-on offering of 4.4 million shares of its common stock at $27.00 per share, resulting in gross proceeds of $118.8 million. The underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 660,000 shares of common stock.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of this public offering to invest in portfolio companies in accordance with its investment objective and strategies.
Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (LTS), and National Securities Corporation, a division of National Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:NHLD), acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. Maxim Group LLC, Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, and Aegis Capital Corporation acted as co-managers.
