James C. Neuhauser, CFA Named Chief Investment Officer

Kenneth P. Slosser to Head Investment Banking

ARLINGTON, Va., April 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FBR & Co (Nasdaq:FBRC) ("FBR" or the "Company"), a leading investment bank serving the middle market, announced today that James C. Neuhauser, CFA has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for FBR & Co. In his new role, Mr. Neuhauser's responsibilities will encompass all aspects of the Company's capital allocation and investment processes.  He will continue to serve on the Company's Executive Committee and as Chairman of its Commitment Committee for Investment Banking

Succeeding Neuhauser as Head of Investment Banking is Kenneth P. Slosser. Mr. Slosser has led the Company's Financial Institutions and Insurance banking teams for the past five years. Mr. Slosser previously managed the Company's West Coast investment banking operations and has been a key member of FBR's investment banking team that sourced and executed some of the largest and most complex banking transactions in the Firm's history. He will be responsible for managing the Company's investment banking operations across all its sectors and product groups.
