DRC Receives Expert Accreditation Under Federal Security Program
ANDOVER, Mass., May 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dynamics Research Corporation (DRCO), a leading provider of innovative management consulting, engineering, science and technology solutions to federal and state governments, today announced that it has been accredited as a third party assessment organization under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
The accreditation enables DRC to conduct pre-audit assessments and to audit cloud service provider compliance with FedRAMP security requirements. DRC will apply its proven assessment methodology and leverage in-depth technical analytic skills coupled with a thorough understanding of security controls implementations unique to cloud environments to enable cloud vendors to provide secure cloud services to government agencies.
"As more government agencies are looking to reap the benefits of cloud computing, the FedRAMP program is a critical step in keeping sensitive government data secure," said Jim Regan, DRC's chairman and chief executive officer. "We look forward to adding to our deep experience providing critical cybersecurity support to government agencies by extending our capabilities and helping to accelerate cloud computing adoption in government."
Under FedRAMP, accredited independent organizations assess cloud controls in compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act using custom methodologies and approaches to conduct detailed assessments of cloud environments, identifying vulnerabilities in cloud environments and enabling cloud service providers to mitigate risks.
