Walmart, ANA Alliance for Family Entertainment Co-chair Ben Simon Opens Variety’s Family Entertainment and Faith-Based Summit In Association With Rogers & Cowan
Walden Co-Founder Michael Flaherty Also Set to Keynote
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Variety is pleased to announce that Ben Simon, Director at Walmart and Co-Chair of the ANA Alliance for Family Entertainment, will take part in the Opening Keynote Conversation at its Family Entertainment and Faith-Based Summit June 21 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.
Simon leads Walmarts Retail Development Kit (RDK), a new customer experience platform at the retailer connecting content, community and communication with commerce. He was responsible for the creation of Walmarts Family Moments and Family Movie Night programs, and executive produced nine films within these initiatives in partnership with Procter and Gamble.
Additionally as Co-Chair of the ANAs Alliance for Family Entertainment, Simon works with nearly 40 national advertiser members who seek to provide families with more family-friendly content and offer advertisers more ways to reach them with their messaging. The group has helped air such TV programs as Gilmore Girls, Everybody Hates Chris and Friday Night Lights.
Varietys Summit, presented in association with Rogers & Cowan, will offer a full day of high-profile speakers and topics exploring why family and faith-based entertainment is a critical genre for the film and TV industry.
