BRISTOL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE:B) today announced the appointment of Claudia Toussaint as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Ms. Toussaint rejoins the company in the same role in which she had successfully served for nearly two years.

Ms. Toussaint served as Barnes Groups Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from April 2010 through March 2012. Prior to joining Barnes Group (B), Ms. Toussaint had served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Embarq Corporation, a telecommunications company that was acquired by Centurylink, Inc. Before her General Counsel role, she served as Vice President and Corporate Secretary for Embarq. Prior to her leadership roles at Embarq between 2005 and 2009, she served as Vice President and Corporate Secretary of Sprint Corporation, a role she assumed in 2003. Between 1997 and 2003, she served in various legal leadership and attorney roles for Sprint and its operating affiliates. Before joining Sprint in 1997, she was a transactional attorney with Morrison and Foerster in Los Angeles.

Ms. Toussaint left Barnes Group in March 2012 and briefly joined Tyco Flow Control in connection with its proposed spin-off from Tyco International Ltd., which is now expected to be followed by the merger of Tyco Flow Control with Pentair, Inc.
