Quantum DXi6000 Family Wins Its Third Product of the Year Award

(DSS.Q) (NYSE: QTM), a proven global expert in data protection and big data management, today announced that its DXi6700 Series of disk backup, deduplication and replication appliances was named "Disk-Based Product of the Year - Enterprise" at the 2012 Storage Awards: The Storries IX. The award is the third Product of the Year honor the DXi6000 family has received and provides further validation of Quantum's worldwide leadership in simplifying data protection across distributed sites and different environments. Quantum beat out several other finalists including IBM, Oracle and Sepaton.
The DXi6700 Series -- the DXi6701 and DXi6702 -- combines best-in-class performance, price-performance and scalability in an easy-to-deploy backup and deduplication solution that frees customers from having to make the compromises required by competitive offerings.
In March, the DXi6700 was named Storage Product of the Year at the 2012 Network Computing Awards in London. At the 2011 Storage Awards last June, Quantum's DXi6000 family was honored as "Storage Product of the Year."
