CHICO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- UnitedHealthcare held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at its Chico operations center, announcing it is creating 115 new jobs. The company also held an open house to brief area job recruiters about the new positions, and human resources professionals helped interested job seekers with the application process and answered questions about the new jobs.

Community leaders, including U.S. Representative Wally Herger, state Assemblyman Dan Logue, Chico Mayor Ann Schwab and Butte County Supervisor Larry Wahl, joined UnitedHealthcare executives for the announcement at the operations center. They received a tour of the facilities and joined potential job applicants and recruiters for a reception and briefing as part of the open house that also honored local military veterans in celebration of the 4th of July.

UnitedHealthcare established the Chico operations center in 1998 to enhance customer support for people who are enrolled in UnitedHealthcare health benefits plans across the country.
