Aetna Sponsors Ohio Senior Olympics State Games

RICHFIELD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aetnas (NYSE: AET) announced it is the title sponsor of this summers Ohio Senior Olympics State Games, which are being held throughout the Cleveland metro area July 21 through August 5, and include participants from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky.
The games are an amateur athletic competition for men and women 50 years of age and over and are a popular event for both the athletes and spectators. The Ohio Senior Olympics are held every two years and serve as a qualifying event for the 2013 National Senior Games. This year, more than 1,500 participants are expected.
Events include 5k and 10k race/walks, track and field events, archery, cycling, tennis, badminton, bowling, triathlon, golf, racquetball, softball, swimming, table tennis, basketball, horseshoes, pickleball, shuffleboard, volleyball and the Long Live the Challenge senior walk. This years Senior Olympics theme is the Year of Vitality and ties in with Aetnas commitment to engage and empower older adults to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
