Trustco Bank Hall of Fame Honoring Real People Doing Real Things
GLENVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TrustCo Bank Corp NY (TRST) (TrustCo) (Nasdaq:TRST) today announced it has created a Hall of Fame to honor individuals who demonstrate strong community involvement and work hard to make a positive change in the community. President and CEO, Robert J. McCormick stated, "Ordinary people do extraordinary acts to help their community. These individuals work hard everyday to make a difference and ask nothing for themselves. We want to honor these Home Town Heroes who might otherwise go unnoticed."
The public will be able to make nominations by going to Trustco Bank's web site at TrustcoBank.com or visiting any Trustco Branch. A Committee will review all nominations and announce the winners. The 2012 program began on Monday, July 30, 2012 and will end on Friday, September 28, 2012. Up to five individuals and/or groups will be selected each year.
Winners will be invited to a special luncheon and a wall will be erected to display plaques with winners' names, at Trustco Bank's Corporate Headquarters.
