The Company highlights the ability to run next-generation HTML5 consumer applications from an Entropic-based set-top box over an Entropic-powered MoCA® 2.0 (Multimedia over Coax) home network. The demonstration also showcases the ease at which high definition (HD) content can be transcoded to enable content bridging from the MoCA backbone to tablet devices via a connected MoCA/Wi-Fi adapter.
Global cable operators are interested in high-performance open standard STBs that can capitalize on the growing wave of consumer STB apps that can add value and offer a richer end-user experience.
