OceanFirst Foundation Pledges $500,000 in Grants for Storm Relief and Recovery Efforts at the Jersey Shore
TOMS RIVER, N.J., Nov. 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OceanFirst Financial Corp. (OCFC), the holding company for OceanFirst Bank, announced that OceanFirst Foundation pledged $500,000 to establish a Relief and Recovery Grant Program to assist the efforts of nonprofit organizations in the New Jersey shore market area that are helping local families impacted by the epic storm, Sandy.
The first three recipients of OceanFirst Foundation Relief and Recovery grants will each be awarded $50,000 to help meet the emergency basic needs of local families: The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Neptune; St. Francis Center, Brant Beach; and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton (Emergency Services). Individuals in the Jersey Shore area needing assistance or information about the first three recipients of OceanFirst Relief and Recovery Program Grants should contact the nonprofit organizations directly.
Nonprofit organizations that are assisting individuals and families impacted by the storm in the OceanFirst Bank market are invited to apply for grants of up to $25,000 from the OceanFirst Foundation Relief and Recovery Program and should visit www.oceanfirstfdn.org for details.
